New for 2011: Conference Projections

We mentioned this a while back when we announced the redesign, but new for this year starting in October are projections for the final standings of each conference, updated weekly. Want to know how the SEC championship race looks? Check in every Wednesday. Want to know if anyone from the Big East will be able to separate themselves from the pack? (Answer: probably not.) Check in on Mondays. We'll have projections according to both TFG and RBA systems, so you'll get some variety in your projections.

Schedule

  • Monday: ACC, Big East, Conference USA, Independents
  • Tuesday: Big Ten, Big XII, Mid-Atlantic, Mountain West
  • Wednesday: SEC, Pac-12, Sunbelt, Western Athletic

Here's a sample of the projected Big East standings as of 2011/09/25:

Projected records may not sum to total number of actual games due to rounding errors.

As the note at the bottom says, due to some rounding errors in the mathematical formula we use to do the projections, they might add up funny. That should resolve itself as the season goes on, though.
